Another baklava galette. Baklava is my first love. We pronounce it in Arabic baqlāwa (بقلاوة), which spells out bah-le-wa. Every family occasion, someone would bring a tray of the sweet goodness. It was the first Lebanese sweet I frothed over and it remains a dessert lose myself with. Lucky me, I get the scraps of empty pans every week. After packing my orders, I’m left with it mm lol. Back to this week’s recipe! A baklava take on the galette. The first baklava galette I baked was a pistachio biscoff one, followed by pistachio rhubarb. I loved both. This galette is a coconut apricot pairing inspired by one of my mother’s favourite flavour pairings. She gave this one a 10/10 (in her words, “10 over 10”) which means I’ve won. Here is my aunty also tasting this galette whilst conversing my mum.
And here is mother enjoying it with her tea!
What I love about this bake, is it’s very simple. One bake, one coating and done. I hope you love it. Before I get to the recipe, I would love input on which flavour pairing you would prefer, just in general. I’ll leave a little poll :’)
Here is the recipe. First photos ofc!

The ingredients make around a 6” round circle thing!
