How do I slow down? A coffee, nature or eating a slice of chocolate espresso cake with no distractions? No phone, no film, no music. It’s not a need that we have these pleasures, it’s a want that makes life sweeter. These pleasures make the good moments better. Almost like your favourite person. You can go on without them, but do you want to? It will feel dull, lifeless and sad. Life will present this sadness, out of control. When we have the good moment, have the piece of cake.
Now that I vented a little of my thoughts, here’s the recipe to the chocolate espresso cake I stumbled too with leftover sponge from a wedding cake I baked. I didn’t need to tweak this recipe. It was simple and delightful with every bite.
